Dade Medical College and South Miami Cardiology Forge a Partnership
Add South Miami Cardiology to Dade Medical College's growing list of clinical affiliations. Thanks to a newly established partnership, the school will now be able to place its Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography students at the center to practice.

MIAMI, FL, April 24, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --Add South Miami Cardiology to Dade Medical College's growing list of clinical affiliations. Thanks to a newly established partnership, the school will now be able to place its Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography students at the center to practice and learn from the renowned cardiologists Dr. Joshua A. Harris, M.D., F.A.C.C. and one of the area's only I.C.A.L.-certified specialists, Dr. Romeo A. Majano, M.D., F.S.C.A.I, F.A.C.C. and Dr. Matthew Eric Snow, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Judaic Studies from University of Michigan, where he graduated with distinction. He's a graduate of the University of Miami's School of Medicine who served his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami School of Medicine and the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Miami and was Fellow of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Texas Heart Institute St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital / Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Dr. Harris' training certifications include: Echocardiography with TEE and Stress Echocardiography, Board Certification; Nuclear Cardiology, Board Certification; Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization and Cardiovascular CT Angiography and MRI, Level I. In addition, he's also a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Majano has been the chief of Cardiology at South Miami Hospital since January 2009. Educated at the Autonomous School of Medical Sciences of Central America in San Jose, Costa Rica, he graduated first in his class and received the "Palmas Academics" award for Academic Excellence. Like Dr. Harris, Dr. Majano served his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami School of Medicine and the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Miami and was Fellow of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Texas Heart Institute St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital / Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is board-certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology as well as Endovascular Medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Majano's clinical certifications include Nuclear Cardiology License and Stress Testing, Level II Echocardiography, Permanent Pacemakers and Holter Monitor Interpretation and others.

A Miami native, Dr. Snow has served as the Director of Critical Care Physicians at South Miami Hospital and been in private practice in Cardiology and Internal Medicine since 1987. A graduate of Amherst College (B.A.) and the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dr. Snow is also the former Chief of Cardiology at both South Miami Hospital and for Baptist Health Systems. He's also a member of the American Medical Association, the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society and the American College of Cardiology's Fellow. In addition, Dr. Snow was recently listed on the 2009 list of Florida Super Doctors.

Dade Medical College was founded in 1999 as a vocational medical institute teaching diagnostic ultrasound. The main campus is located at 3401 NW 7th Street, Miami, FL 33125 and like the Hialeah campus (built in 2007 and located at 2750 W 68th Street, Suite 202, Hialeah, FL 33016) additionally offers diplomas and or Associate of Science degrees. In addition to Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, fields of study include Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, General Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Management, Massage Therapy and Medical Assistant. The schools also feature the new Diagnostic Vascular Sonography diploma and degree programs.

Dade Medical College's Miami Campus is currently expanding to feature more than 19,000 square feet of classroom, laboratory, library and office space. Renovations recently completed at the Hialeah Campus brought the total size to 22,000 square feet, including a new student lounge and library. Construction is now underway on a second non-main campus in Homestead, which will house approximately 10,500 square feet and being enrolling students on or around June 15th, 2009. Also, plans are being submitted for a 15,000 square foot Hollywood (FL) Campus set to open by spring 2010, which would bring Dade Medical College's total square footage to more than 66,000.

Dade Medical College is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education and is a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges, where Mr. Perez and new COO Dean Bartness serve as Board Members.
