Former U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Receives "Champion of the Year" Award from Ocean County Business Association.

TOMS RIVER, NJ, September 03, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Flying Turtle Marketing's Lisa McComsey, president of the Ocean County Business Association (OCBA), and Linda O'Donnell, OCBA board member and marketing committee co-chair, announced the inaugural presentation of the OCBA Champion of the Year award on Thursday, August 6 to former U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Christopher Christie.

Harry Jay Levin, OCBA board member and a partner in Levin Cyphers Attorneys at Law, Toms River, conceived the award and presented it to Christie, who is now the Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey, at the Quality Inn in Toms River. The luncheon was open to the OCBA members, their guests, and members of the media.

McComsey and O'Donnell said, "Giving the Champion of the Year award is not intended to be a political endorsement; but, rather, an opportunity to recognize distinguished citizens of New Jersey for their contributions to the business community."

Levin, chairman of the Champion of the Year award committee, said, "Because OCBA is an organization for business owners and corporate decision makers, we decided to honor a distinguished citizen of New Jersey who contributes to the growth and development of business in the state. Christie was the committee's first choice because of his pro business work while he was a U.S. attorney."
