Elizabeth Ann Martin Named Marketing Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who

FAIRBANKS, AK, December 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth Ann Martin, Marketing Coordinator for Shannon & Wilson, Inc., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Marketing. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.

With an impressive professional background that spans 20 years, Elizabeth Ann Martin specializes in marketing. In her position with Shannon & Wilson, a geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting company, she is responsible for overseeing marketing operations, meeting with clients and managing government proposal requests. She also handles marketing and public relations for the American Red Cross. In addition to her career in marketing, Ms. Martin is a talented author, poet and public speaker. She recently published a novel entitled "We'll Give Him a Hearty Welcome, Then..."

A stubborn, "never-give-up" attitude and top-notch organizational skills are the undisputed keys to Ms. Martin's success. She earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from California State University, Sacramento in 2003 and a bachelor of arts in international studies from the University of the Pacific in 1982. Her professional affiliations include the Society for Marketing Professional Services, the American Association of University Women, the National Writers Union and the International Association for Administrative Professionals. A dog-lover, she supports the Fairbanks Dog Park, the ASPCA and the Yukon Quest International Dog Sled Race. She intends to continue growing in her profession and publish more of her works in the future.
