Christopher Matthews returns to school for an MBA after seven years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army

DALLAS, TX, May 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher Matthews, Student at Southern Methodist University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in academia.

Christopher Matthews is a former officer of the United States Army with over seven years of experience. Now studying for his MBA in marketing and finance at Southern Methodist University, he has led an impressive career as an operations officer with 1-2-5 Military Transition Team, battalion intelligence officer with the Second Battalion of the 82nd Field Artillery and executive officer with the Headquarters of the 82nd Field Artillery. He was deployed to Iraq twice between 2002 and 2008, and received two Bronze Stars before retiring at the rank of captain.

Anticipated for completion in 2010, Matthews' MBA will augment his already strong academic resume, which includes a bachelor of science in economics from West Point. At Southern Methodist, he enjoys playing intramural sports including football and baseball. His future ambitions, he confided in the editors at Cambridge Publishing, include working as a project manager at Intel Corporation or Microsoft. For now, he is distinguished by his determination and focused nature, traits that have ensured his success at Southern Methodist.
